Located, 1.2 Km. West of Martintown on a small island at the edge of the River Aux Raisin in the forks of the main and north branches of the river, some two miles north west of the village on farmland owned and occupied by the John Mc Martin Family for much of the Twentieth Century.

There are members of three families buried in this, private cemetery. Four of the stones contain names of the family long known locally as the Hachelor or Hakler
Mc-Dermids. Included in this group are John McDermid, who died at 77 Years in 1864, his son Duncan who died in 1879 and Duncan's wife Janet (Mc Martin) who died in the year 1879. Also included in this group are William McDermid M.D., the latter a son of Duncan and Janet and finally Christy, an infant daughter of Malcolm Mc Dermid and Isabella Ross

The Hugh Mc Dermid, the native of Glen Lochay, Perthshire, Scotland, was a brother of John mentioned above

The Duncan Mc Dermid who died on May 13,1864 is thought to be a brother of Hugh and John Mc Dermid
